잔을 코앞에서 천천히 흔들면 짙은 구리빛이 잔 벽을 타고 되돌아온다. 향에서는 토피와 구운 아몬드가 두껍게 올라오고 담뱃잎이 뒤를 받친다. 한 모금을 머금으면 흑설탕과 계피가 함께 번지며 알코올이 혀 가운데를 데운다. 넘긴 뒤에는 마른 오크와 감초가 남는다. 10년과 100프루프라는 두 숫자가 서로를 지탱한다. 잔을 비운 뒤에도 오크 향이 유리에 얇게 남는다.
