Clynelish + sherry can, in my experience, generate dissonances, including feelings of sulphur while there's not obligatorily any sulphur inside. That's exactly what I'm finding here. Pass, this time… With water: glutamate at the power of seven. Make that eight. A lot of earth too, saltpetre in abundance, etc

restaurant Palate

rather a little nicer on the plate, thanks to bitter oranges and tobacco, but there's really a lot of pepper and some walnut wine in excess. With water: cold cuts and leather, smoked sausage, bitter oranges, old 'sour' wax indeed

rather long, on peppered oranges
