Tasting Notes
엷은 금빛이 잔 속에서 맑게 감돈다. 왁시한 질감으로 이름난 하이랜드의 클라이넬리쉬는, 처음엔 무뚝뚝하게 젖은 건초와 그을음, 석탄 먼지의 미네랄을 드러내다 부드러운 왁스와 바닷돌, 흰 꽃으로 옮겨 간다. 1996년 증류해 18년을 보낸 이 위스키는 46도로 왁스와 흰 후추, 풋과일과 장뇌, 구스베리 잼의 단맛을 풀어낸다. 베리 브라더스가 병입한 이 보틀링은 증류소의 정통을 담았고, 여운은 그을음과 레몬, 왁스가 남는다.

It’s a slightly more austere one at first approach. There’s a rather brittle mineralic aspect with damp hay, soot and coal dust but this quickly moves into fairly classical and very pleasing territories such as soft waxes, beach pebbles, bay leaf and a little wet earth. Little bunches of white flowers and linen. Somewhat straight forward but relatively uncompromising in style
restaurant Palate
A nice assortment of waxes, white pepper, a little green fruit, some camphor, gooseberry jam, pine resin, gorse. It’s not the most sensational Clynelish but it is loyal and exemplary of the distillery character. Would be a perfect alternative to the official 14 year old. Perhaps some cold tea, sorrel and olive oil after a while
