Tasting Notes
짙은 금빛이 잔 안에 깊게 잠긴다. 하이랜드의 클라이넬리시를 1997년 증류해 버번 호그스헤드에서 18년 키운 이 위스키는, 코끝에 겨자 같은 호두와 커피, 밤과 파스티스의 이색적인 향이 또렷하게 열린다. 54.3도의 한 모금은 쓴 오렌지와 칠리, 후추의 알싸함 위로 클라이넬리시다운 밀랍의 결과 호두가 얽힌다. 왁스 같은 질감이 혀에 진하게 실리고, 여운은 란시오와 오래된 코냑을 닮은 원숙한 향이 길게 남는다.

cancel that, this is a great nose, because it’s no lumpy sherry. I wouldn’t say Clynelish’s character still stands out, but I find these notes of mustardy walnuts rather superb. Love the coffee as well. With water: pastis and chestnuts!

gosh, it works again! Plenty of bitter oranges with touches of chillies and pepper, then walnuts again. Or rather walnut wine. Right, fino. With water: ah, there, the spirit… Waxy oranges and honeydew on a slightly too caramelised walnut cake. Or something like that
