잔을 받아 코 밑에서 좌우로 흔들면 붉은 기가 도는 호박색이 천천히 자리를 잡는다. 향에서는 버터스카치와 구운 피칸이 앞서고 말린 살구가 살짝 얹힌다. 한 모금을 입에 물면 옥수수 단맛이 먼저 퍼진 뒤 계피와 생강이 혀끝을 찌른다. 삼킨 자리에 남은 오크 타닌이 입안을 마르게 하며 길게 늘어진다. 배럴 하나에서만 나온 술이라는 사실이 매 모금마다 확인된다.
