잔을 손끝으로 돌리며 향을 모으면 짙은 캐러멜과 구운 옥수수가 먼저 다가온다. 코를 더 깊이 넣으면 오래된 목재와 밀랍 같은 냄새가 또렷이 깃들어 있다. 한 모금을 머금어 굴리면 바닐라와 흑설탕이 두껍게 흐르고 뒤에서 호밀 스파이스가 치고 나온다. 삼키면 후추와 마른 오크가 목 안쪽을 오래 데운다. 50도라는 도수를 힘이 아니라 밀도로 쓰는 술이다.
