잔에 담긴 빛깔은 오래 구운 오크가 남긴 붉은 구릿빛에 가깝다. 켄터키의 새 오크통이 내어준 바닐라와 흑설탕이 먼저 올라오고 그 뒤로 마른 옥수수의 단내가 이어진다. 50도라는 병입 도수가 무색하게 입안에서는 캐러멜과 시나몬이 고르게 번지고 호밀 특유의 매콤함이 중심을 잡는다. 10년의 보세 창고 숙성을 거친 이 위스키는 마지막에 구운 견과와 은은한 가죽 향을 남기며 길게 이어진다.
