Tasting Notes
맑은 황금빛이 잔 벽을 따라 가볍게 흐른다. 1996년에 증류돼 14년을 보낸 아란은 리필 호그스헤드 안에서 섬 증류소다운 산뜻하고 과일 가득한 개성을 곱게 길러 냈다. 향에서는 잘 익은 복숭아와 배, 바닐라가 화사하게 오른다. 입에 머금으면 55.3도의 기운 위로 꿀과 시트러스, 보리 엿의 단맛이 또렷하게 번진다. 아란다운 깨끗한 과일감이 돋보이고 여운은 흰 과일과 가벼운 오크의 끝맛으로 천천히 옅어진다. 섬 증류소다운 산뜻한 과일감이 리필 캐스크의 절제된 단맛과 깔끔하게 어우러진다.

big. Spices, gingerbread, chocolate, Christmas cake, Linzertorte, then peonies and lilies and lastly, pine needles and more cloves and caraway. Merry Christmas! With water: adds touches of cigars and cedar wood, a little coffee and some wonderful praline, all for Christmas
restaurant Palate
a powerful sherry monster, with a lot of punch, spices, jams and, well, slices and slices of fruitcake. Corinth raisins, cloves and pipe tobacco (I remember when I used to smoke pipes more than 25 years ago, there was a very heavy/moist tobacco called Borkum Riff. It was great but it used to ruin my palate). With water: perfect now. Just like its bro, it needs water to become fully balanced. More chocolate and tobacco, more spices but also more raspberries and other red fruits. Very Christmascaky (?)
