Tasting Notes
클라이드 만의 아란 섬은 해풍과 온화한 해양성 기후로 균형 잡힌 몰트를 길러낸다. 2002년 증류해 올로로소 셰리 캐스크에서 보낸 이 보틀링은 환한 호박빛을 띤다. 코에는 건포도와 오렌지, 구운 견과의 향이 또렷하게 피어오른다. 49도의 입안은 셰리 단맛과 시트러스, 가벼운 향신료가 깔끔하게 어우러진다. 섬의 산뜻한 공기가 셰리의 단맛에 또렷한 결을 더하고, 여운에는 캐러멜과 마른 과일이 잔잔하게 이어진다.

a clean, malty and fruity style that rather hints at many ‘natural’ Speysiders. I find apples, plums, then more oranges and ‘sweet’ lemons, lemon grass, touches of ginger and then a wee earthiness combined with a little sea air, which isn’t exactly ‘Speyside’, I agree. A nice, easy, clean nose
restaurant Palate
big fruits, bubblegum, more bubblegum and then even more bubblegum. Maybe a few marshmallows as well, before many oranges start to appear, although we’re rather around squash and Fanta. Spectacularly orangey/bubblegumy, I’d say. Jelly beans and bears, Haribo-style
timer Finish
long, with a little more sugar cane syrup and barley sugar. A little lemonade too, the finish’s a little fizzy
