Tasting Notes
잔을 가볍게 흔들면 옅은 황금빛이 잔 벽을 맑게 타고 내린다. 코끝에 가져가면 시트론 리큐어와 흙 내음 도는 향신료, 마대 자루 같은 결이 열린다. 18년 셰리 호그스헤드가 아란의 깨끗한 몰트에 은은한 해안가 기운을 더했다. 잔 가장자리에 코를 대면 갓 짜낸 보리와 옅은 소금기가 뒤따라 피어난다. 한 모금 머금으면 레몬과 자몽, 커스터드, 민트 향신료가 50.4도의 힘 위로 산뜻하게 번진다. 시간이 지나면 오렌지와 감초의 달콤함이 구조 있게 자리를 잡는다. 삼킨 뒤에는 캐러멜에 가까운 달큰한 뒷맛이 혀 위에 오래 남는다.

oh nice! The style is close to that of the TWE, so clean and chiselled, but it’s starting to display more subtle aromas that can only come with age in my opinion. I’d say citron liqueur, earthy spices (achiote? Coriander?), hessian… In fact, it may have become more coastal than younger Arrans. With water: pure barleyish freshness

yep. Clean lemons and grapefruits, a touch of custard, some minty spices, oranges, liquorice… I think it is a beauty. With water (not that that’s much needed): totally excellent. Fresh, orangey, fruity, and yet structured, malty…
timer Finish
medium, a wee tad more caramely/candied. Which is far from being a flaw
