노즈에서는 셰리 호그스헤드가 입힌 잘 익은 붉은 사과와 건포도 향이 먼저 두드러진다. 1996 빈티지를 20년 숙성한 아란은 51.6도에서 섬 증류소다운 과실의 생기와 셰리의 단맛이 균형 있게 짜인다. 팰럿은 오렌지 마멀레이드와 시나몬, 구운 견과류로 발전하며 둥글게 익은 질감이 중심을 잡는다. 피니시는 꿀과 옅은 오크 향신료가 길게 이어진다. 20년 숙성이 빚은 과실과 셰리의 균형이 단단한 한 잔이다.
