잔을 흔들면 퍼스트필 버번을 거친 아란의 짙은 황금빛이 잔 벽을 따라 따라 돈다. 잔을 코끝에 가져가면 잘 익은 노란 복숭아, 바닐라 크림, 마른 보리 향이 가장 먼저 인사한다. 53.5도의 한 모금을 머금으면 아일랜드의 짭조름한 공기 위로 꿀, 흰꽃, 옅은 시나몬이 입천장을 채운다. 잔을 내려놓아도 몰트 앤 뮤직 페스티벌 보틀링의 밝은 과실 여운이 또렷이 깃들어 있다.

ho-ho, it’s an Arran that kind of hints at Clynelish, or so it seems. Can we be against that? So there’s this beeswax at first nosing, then more vanilla and a little earth as well as baked apples and butterscotch, just like in the Eagle, our benchmark for this session. Nice nose, should we call this a baby Clynelish? With water: nice and clean, fruity and candied. Less Clynelish this time ;-(
