Tasting Notes
아란 1995년 빈티지가 27년의 셰리 호그스헤드 숙성을 거쳐 짙은 적갈색으로 잔에 잠긴다. 잔을 코끝에 두면 마른 무화과와 다크 체리, 호두 껍질의 떫은 단내가 차례로 떠오른다. 입에 머금으면 빽빽한 셰리의 단맛과 구운 아몬드, 49.8도의 절제된 알코올이 부드럽게 흐른다. 섬의 바람이 다듬어준 균형이 두드러지고 여운에는 다크 초콜릿과 묵은 가죽의 잔향이 길게 머문다.

it's become 'older whisky', with herbal liqueurs and old walnuts, mead, old white wines (chardonnays), old beeswax (when it's become very dark yellow), then malt and Belgian trappiste beers, fermenting plums and certainly some meaty proteins, bouillons, marrow quenelles (we love those in Alsace, we put them into our, well, bouillons). long, a tad more bitter in a good way, with apple peel, walnuts, more ginger and turmeric, and bitter oranges in the aftertaste
