Tasting Notes
창백한 볏짚빛이 잔 안에서 맑게 빛난다. 아란이 셰리 호그스헤드에서 18년을 재워 2015년 선보인 이 퓨어 바이 네이처는 보리와 빵, 페이스트리의 곡물 향이 향의 중심을 이룬다. 잘 구운 반죽과 은은한 견과의 결이 겹친다. 46도의 도수는 입안에서 버터 같은 질감 위로 오렌지 마멀레이드와 카페라테의 부드러운 단맛을 펼친다. 여운은 옅게 탄 캐러멜과 성냥을 켜는 듯한 뉘앙스를 남기며 은근하게 이어진다. 소박하면서도 정겨운 섬 몰트의 개성이 담긴 한 잔이다.

rather more ‘middle-of-the-road’ than the previous ones, that is to say more fully on grains, barley, bread, pastries. I also do seem to find a touch of asparagus cooking water – or cabbage – that makes it just a notch sulphury. I would not call this a nosing whisky

we’re going more towards the TWE, but it’s got a buttery side this time, while the eggs; I mean, the asparagus aren’t totally gone. Too bad, because other parts are lovely, especially the marmalade and the orange cake. Café latte. Good body
