Tasting Notes
잔을 흔든 뒤 코를 가져가면 아란 특유의 깨끗한 보리 향이 오르고 바닐라와 옅은 꽃향, 축축한 흙과 유칼립투스, 민트가 뒤따른다. 흔들수록 청량한 허브 기운이 번진다. 46도의 이 14년을 머금으면 시럽에 조린 오렌지와 오렌지 케이크, 바닐라 크림 단맛 위로 졸인 배와 메이플, 꿀이 부드럽게 감긴다. 자극 없이 편안한 질감이 매력이다. 삼키면 몰트의 달큰함과 캔디 같은 단맛이 남는 맑고 산뜻한 아란 섬 몰트다.

pretty perfect clean barleyness, with some vanilla, a flowery touch, then a little damp earth and anything from a Corsican forest, that is to say myrtle, eucalyptus, mint, and caraway. Well not sure caraway freely grows in Corsica, have to check that next time I’m there

excellent. I’ve often noticed that Arrans style could stem from Speyside, and this a good example. Orange in syrup, orange cake, vanilla cream, a touch of stewed pears, some maple syrup, some malt, some honey… All easy and good
timer Finish
medium, a little more candied/malty. I’ve sometimes called this style ‘Chivassy’, but I wouldn’t want to ruffle (even) more feathers over there in Scotland. Nah, too late…
