잔을 가까이 하면 아란 10년답게 브리오슈와 보리, 빵 반죽의 곡물 향이 명확하게 드러나고 달콤한 와인에 조린 배가 뒤를 잇는다. 단순하지만 정갈한 결이 46도에서 또렷하게 유지된다. 팰럿은 다소 소박하나 같은 나이의 유명 스페이사이드보다 깊이가 있어 해안 몰트와 내륙 몰트의 중간쯤에 자리한다. 피니시는 캐스크 그을림에서 온 커피와 다크 초콜릿 뉘앙스로 이어진다. 아란 섬의 젊은 몰트다운 소박하면서도 단단한 균형이 또렷하다.

it's more rustic, but it's good. There's more depth to it than in the big-name Speysiders of the same age, I find, but it's further away from the coastal ones (BN, HP, Cl, OP...). In short, it's in between the two
