Tasting Notes
맑고 옅은 볏짚색이 잔 안에서 투명하게 빛난다. 아란 증류소가 설립 초기인 1997년에 병입한 이 두 해짜리 원액은 갓 태어난 증류소의 풋풋한 기운을 그대로 담았다. 코끝에는 보리와 풋사과, 갓 자른 풀의 향이 솟는다. 한 모금 머금으면 60도의 강렬한 기운 위로 곡물과 레몬, 옅은 꿀의 단맛이 또렷하게 번진다. 어린 원액다운 거친 패기가 입안을 채우고, 끝에는 보리와 풀의 여운이 짧고 산뜻하게 이어진다.

not much difference with the ‘native’ versions. A tad more buttery and, okay, notes of ripe apples. Pleasant I must say. With water: grassier and even grainier

much more interesting than on the nose. Bubblegummy, notes of cherry-flavoured beer (Kriek) this time. Spanish apple liqueur (manzana verde). Or should I say ‘calvados’? With water: it got really good now, creamy, fruity and jammy ala Balvenie. Good, medium long finish on the same flavours
