Tasting Notes
깊은 호박빛이 잔 안에서 윤기 있게 가라앉아 있다. 글렌리벳이 1971년에 빚어 27년을 보낸 이 위스키는 잘 익은 복숭아와 꿀, 마른 향신료의 향을 농익게 피워낸다. 입에 머금으면 열대 과일 단맛과 바닐라, 은근한 오크가 혀를 매끄럽게 감싼다. 54.3도의 도수가 오랜 세월의 풍미를 단단하게 받쳐준다. 여운에는 잘 익은 과일과 꿀의 달콤함이 길게 이어진다.

air Nose
much more powerful ‘of course’, even maybe a little brutal at first nosing. Oak, bananas, vanilla, fresh butter and a little smoke again. Then a little varnish coming through (usually, I find that varnish comes out first but not here). Gets grassier after that, as well as fruitier (granny smith), with also hints of muesli and wet stones. 37 years old you say? Botoxed? ;-)
restaurant Palate
rather better on the palate, close to the 1968 but of course punchier and with added notes of liquorice, coriander and dill. Huge sweetness and excellent fruitiness (crystallised pineapples, golden delicious apples), also more pepper than in the 1968. Big whisky
timer Finish
long, sweet, with ‘good’ acridity now that compensates the sweetness
