Flavor Profile
Tasting Notes
Colour
pale gold
air Nose
very punchy at first sniffs, with big vanilla and big oak plus quite some fresh butter and big citrusy notes (lemon zests) but it doesn’t quite develop after that, probably because it’s so high in alcohol. Water should help... Yes, it got fresher, even more citrusy and minty, sort of reminding us of a great Rosebank or Bladnoch. Also rather big notes of dill, aniseed and liquorice and then nougat and praline. Very, very well made, this Nàdurra
restaurant Palate
very punchy, very sweet, very vanilled and very citrusy, with a big oakiness (spices). Very big whisky, quite hot and a tad hard to enjoy at almost 60%. With water: that worked excellently. Great sweetness, oranges, tangerines and lemons as well as ginger and always quite some vanilla. Lemon pie?
timer Finish
medium long but quite coating, still smoothly citrusy and gingery. In short, a rather “modern’ whisky, not exactly complex but perfectly assertive and balanced. Lemon-flavoured barley sugar?
