Tasting Notes
오랜 세월이 응축된 짙은 마호가니빛이 잔 깊이 잠긴다. 1975년 증류해 셰리 버트에서 35년을 보낸 스페이사이드 글렌리벳은 말린 무화과와 오렌지 마멀레이드, 묵은 가죽의 향을 깊게 풀어놓는다. 55도의 기운이 다크초콜릿과 호두, 흑설탕의 풍미를 진하게 입안에 펼친다. 긴 셰리 숙성이 남긴 쌉쌀한 단맛의 여운이 느리게 사그라든다.

chocolate galore! Also prunes, a little balsamic vinegar, English brown sauce, a lot of nutmeg and quite some soy sauce. Absolutely no gunpowder or struck matches. Some old rancio like in some old cognac, and whiffs of peonies. With water: more oranges, old liqueurs, marmalade, roses… Superb nose!
restaurant Palate
creamy and rich, typical old chocolaty sherry monster with a good layer of juicy fruits. Raspberries and blackberries. Also some sultanas and quinces, kumquats, some ginger… All perfect although it’s rather simpler and less ‘wide’ than on the nose now. With water: more of the same and a profile that’s more towards Glenfarclas if you see what I mean
