노즈에서는 잘 익은 과일과 꿀, 가벼운 오크가 부드럽게 두드러진다. 1975년 글렌리벳을 26년 숙성한 매킬롭스 초이스 싱글 캐스크로, 오랜 숙성이 만들어낸 섬세하고 원숙한 스페이사이드 캐릭터가 명확하게 드러난다. 입에서는 토피와 시트러스, 몰트 단맛이 둥글게 이어진다. 43도의 도수가 가볍고 균형 잡힌 질감을 만든다. 피니시는 꿀과 옅은 스파이스가 깔끔하고 길게 남는다.

gentler, and that’s not just the strength. More ‘modern Glenlivet’, with a round maltiness and ideas an apple pie covered with maple syrup and acacia honey. And cinnamon powder. You have to work on it a bit to let a few herbal notes come out, but it wouldn’t become as foresty as the wonderful 1976

no no no, wait, it takes on you! Gingered oranges, honeydew, smoked meat, tobacco, a touch of salt, chlorophyll, tar and liquorice, mint liqueurs… This is funny, it reminds me a bit of some older Glen Gariochs, like the 1960s or early 1970s. What’s the trick? There’s even a little chicken soup. The 43% aren’t a problem at all this time
