밝은 황금빛이 도는 호박이 잔의 측면에서 잔잔히 빛난다. 글렌리벳 1969 빈티지 12년은 스미스의 퓨어 언블렌디드 포트스틸 하이랜드 몰트로 풀린 1981년 보틀링이며, 향에서는 잘 익은 사과와 옅은 꿀, 흰꽃, 마른 곡물, 헤이즐넛이 차분히 떠오른다. 40도의 절제된 도수는 입안에서 글렌리벳 특유의 깔끔한 곡물 베이스와 잘 익은 배의 단맛, 옅은 시트러스, 미네랄리티의 결을 부드럽게 풀어놓으며 60년대 스피사이드의 정직한 면모를 보여준다. 끝은 옅은 꽃향이 짧게 사그라든다.
