잔을 손안에서 돌린 뒤 코를 대면 셰리 몬스터라 불릴 만큼 진한 화약과 호두, 블랙 트러플과 시가, 볶은 커피의 향이 겹겹이 솟는다. 한 모금 머금으면 56.3도의 단단한 질감 위로 세비야 오렌지와 생강, 블러드 오렌지의 상큼한 단맛이 풍성하게 열리고 육두구와 시나몬의 향신료가 뒤따른다. 셰리 통에서 15년을 보낸 이 글렌리벳 싱글 캐스크를 삼키면 후추와 레몬, 꿀이 뒤섞인 온기가 길게 이어진다.

this one has even more sherry, and I guess we could almost call it a sherry monster. Gunpowder and walnuts, black truffles, cigars, grounded coffee beans, beef stock, earth, Maggi… You know the song, don’t you. Perfect
restaurant Palate
fatter then the OB, almost creamy, with more Seville oranges and even ginger, then a perfect citrusy development (tangerines, blood oranges), and rather less dry sherriness than on the nose. It’s a very rich old Glenlivet, having said that, and it would become spicier by the second. Nutmeg, cinnamon mints, coriander…
