스페이사이드의 완만한 계곡에 자리한 글렌리벳, 넓은 골짜기의 맑은 물이 이 싱글 캐스크의 넉넉한 풍미를 길러낸다. 잔에는 깊은 황금빛이 감돈다. 진한 셰리를 두른 이 원액은 화약과 호두, 블랙 트러플과 커피의 향을 강하게 피워 올린다. 59.7도의 높은 도수는 입안에서 세비야 오렌지와 생강, 탠저린의 시트러스를 두껍게 감아 흐른다. 드라이한 셰리의 향과 달리 입에서는 진한 시트러스가 풍성하게 살아난다. 카른 엘라사드로 나온 이 보틀링은 육두구와 계피, 후추의 알싸한 여운을 길게 이어간다.

this one has even more sherry, and I guess we could almost call it a sherry monster. Gunpowder and walnuts, black truffles, cigars, grounded coffee beans, beef stock, earth, Maggi… You know the song, don’t you. Perfect
restaurant Palate
fatter then the OB, almost creamy, with more Seville oranges and even ginger, then a perfect citrusy development (tangerines, blood oranges), and rather less dry sherriness than on the nose. It’s a very rich old Glenlivet, having said that, and it would become spicier by the second. Nutmeg, cinnamon mints, coriander…
