Tasting Notes
셰리 우드에서 24년을 보낸 시간이 이 아드벡의 묵직한 골격을 빚어냈다. 1969년 증류한 올드 아드벡답게 피트 연기와 셰리의 단맛이 한 몸으로 얽힌다. 향에서는 그을린 장작과 건자두, 가죽이 차례로 피어오르며 오래 묵은 깊이를 드러낸다. 입에서는 훈제 향과 다크초콜릿, 정향이 40도의 절제된 도수 위로 매끈하게 흐른다. 깊은 호박빛 아래로 타르와 말린 과일의 여운이 은근하게 오래 남는다.
AITasting Notes
air Nose
starts on some nice tropical fruits, grapefruit juice… Gets quite grassy, with some hints of wet straw. A little too weak, alas, lacking a little oomph. Sometimes Arbeg easily stands 40% ABV but here we want more
restaurant Palate
rather thin body but with some huge notes of caramel, cinnamon and dried fruits (dates, raisins). Gets then a bit sweetish, on liquorice allsorts. Really in the G&M Connoisseur’s Choice style, although some CC's are much better than this one. You got it, it really lacks a little bit of oomph (and perhaps one ear ;-))
