Tasting Notes
오래된 금빛이 잔 안에서 잔잔히 일렁인다. 아일라의 전설 아드벡이 1974년에 빚어 19년을 보낸 이 위스키는 묵직한 토탄 연기와 타르, 바닷소금의 향을 켜켜이 피워 올린다. 오랜 숙성이 그 위에 잘 익은 열대 과일과 꿀의 향을 더해 거친 연기를 우아하게 감싼다. 46도의 도수가 농익은 훈연과 과실을 둥글게 풀어 놓는다. 옛 아드벡만이 지닌 깊은 연기의 결이 또렷하다. 여운에는 재와 열대 과일이 길게 머문다.

this is the most porridgey of them all, the most fermentary, and probably the closest to Nature. Raw wool on Islay (wandering on the Oa), chalk, mud and sheep dung, sourdough, sour fruit juice (white cherries, gooseberry juice), grist and wash… This is the first one that really smells of 'touring the distillery' (at 1am, valinch in hand)
restaurant Palate
gets drying almost instantly, but all the rest is pretty perfect. Extremely dry indeed, fino-y (Ardbeg in fino always worked well), then with mentholy lemons and medicinal potions of all kinds. The best of the 'newer' Ardbeg style, in my opinion

long, very dry, a little austere but very 'Ardbeg'
