옅은 황금빛 속에 깊은 세월이 어른거린다. 1975년에 증류되어 24년을 보낸 아드벡은 거친 피트를 시간으로 길들여 한층 그윽해졌다. 향에는 그을린 타르와 바다 요오드, 잦아든 캠프파이어의 연기가 묵직하게 깔린다. 입에서는 훈제한 단맛과 감초, 검은 후추의 알싸함이 어우러지고, 50도의 기운이 곧게 뻗는다. 긴 여운에는 식은 재와 짭조름한 바닷내음이 오래도록 남아 진하게 머문다.
