Tasting Notes
잔을 돌려 향을 깨우면 1962년에 증류된 옛 아드벡의 묵직한 타르와 그을음이 먼저 피어오른다. 코를 가까이 하면 세월이 누그러뜨린 부드러운 피트 아래로 잘 익은 망고와 짭짤한 바닷내가 비친다. 한 모금 흘려보내면 17년 숙성이지만 반세기를 병 속에서 보낸 둥근 질감이 혀를 감싸고, 달콤한 과일과 재가 어우러진다. 46도로 삼킨 뒤에도 옅은 훈연과 흙내가 입안에 길게 끌린다.

starts rather fruitier than expected, on bananas and butter pears. Then we have a little wax and linseed oil, then tea (both black and green), then wet paper and cardboard. Also something like metal polish (obvious OBE). Nice mint in the background but the whole is a little tired. Slight soapiness
restaurant Palate
dry and fruity at the same time (bananas again), quite tea-ish, gaining momentum with time but never getting totally satisfying
timer Finish
quite short, dry and woody. Little peat in this dry and rather tired Ardbeg. 81 points . Ardbeg 17 yo (46%, Cadenhead's dumpy, Sutti Milano, circa 1985)
