Tasting Notes
옅은 금빛이 잔 안에서 서늘하게 빛난다. 아드벡이 19년을 재워 올로로소 셰리와 아메리칸 오크로 완성한 이 트라이 반은 오트밀 죽과 날 양모, 분필과 진흙의 원초적 향이 자연 그대로의 아일라를 그린다. 사워도우와 시큼한 과일즙의 결이 겹친다. 46.2도의 도수는 입안에서 이내 드라이해지며 피노 셰리 같은 짠맛과 멘톨의 레몬, 온갖 약재의 향을 펼친다. 여운은 길고 매우 건조하며 다소 엄격하지만 지극히 아드벡답게 마무리된다. 야성의 피트가 온전히 살아 있는 몰트다.

this is the most porridgey of them all, the most fermentary, and probably the closest to Nature. Raw wool on Islay (wandering on the Oa), chalk, mud and sheep dung, sourdough, sour fruit juice (white cherries, gooseberry juice), grist and wash… This is the first one that really smells of 'touring the distillery' (at 1am, valinch in hand)
restaurant Palate
gets drying almost instantly, but all the rest is pretty perfect. Extremely dry indeed, fino-y (Ardbeg in fino always worked well), then with mentholy lemons and medicinal potions of all kinds. The best of the 'newer' Ardbeg style, in my opinion

long, very dry, a little austere but very 'Ardbeg'
