잔 바닥에 고인 액체는 짙은 밤색으로 빛을 거의 통과시키지 않는다. 첫 향은 버터를 두른 토스트와 캐러멜이며 이내 잘 익은 검은 체리가 그 위에 얹힌다. 입에서는 흑당과 바닐라의 진한 단맛이 흐르다 새 오크에서 온 탄닌과 후추가 방향을 바꾼다. 보틀드 인 본드의 100프루프가 만든 온기는 여운에서 마른 나무와 볶은 견과로 남는다.
