잔을 살짝 데운 손으로 감싸고 흔들면 향이 두 배로 부푼다. 메이플과 흑설탕이 앞서고 마른 자두가 그 아래 깔린다. 한 모금 머금으면 묵직하게 입을 채우며 옥수수의 단맛과 후추가 동시에 밀려온다. 목을 넘어간 뒤에는 볶은 커피의 쌉쌀함이 오래 남고 이 보틀링이 지닌 나무의 무게가 뒤늦게 드러난다. 온기가 가라앉을 무렵 단맛이 다시 한 번 올라온다.
