Tasting Notes
노즈에서는 1956년 글렌파클라스가 50년의 시간을 거치며 도달한 짙은 다크 초콜릿, 말린 자두, 가죽과 시가 박스의 향이 가장 먼저 두드러진다. 팰럿은 50도의 도수에서 반세기 숙성 셰리 캐스크 특유의 깊은 단맛이 명확하게 발전한다. 호두의 견과와 묵은 가죽, 검은 잎담배의 비터가 균형감 있게 펼쳐진다. 글렌파클라스 가문이 친구들을 위해 비축한 캐스크가 보여 주는 1956년 빈티지의 응축된 시간이 잔잔히 잠겨 있다. 피니시는 매우 길고 묵직하게 이어진다. 글렌파클라스 가문이 비축한 컬렉션의 또 다른 기념비적 보틀로 자리한다.

ho-ho-ho! Sherry galore but elegant sherry galore. Wax polish, rosewood, cigar box, blackcurrant jelly, camphor, orange blossom, unlit Havana cigar, raisins and prunes, all that to the power of three. Say four. No need to tell you more
restaurant Palate
thick, rich, mega-sherried and hence a tad too winey at this stage – at least for my tastes – but truly spectacular. Wine sauce, ripe blackcurrants, ripe red grapes, raisins, rancio... it’s not the ‘antique’ kind of sherry at all, that is. Great mintiness
timer Finish
long, with loads of tannins (both from the wood and, we guess, from the wine) but surprisingly, this is pleasant
