스페이사이드 벤리네스 산자락의 가족 경영 증류소 글렌파클라스는 진한 셰리 숙성으로 오랜 명성을 쌓았다. 셰리 캐스크에서 13년을 보낸 이 트리오 셀렉션은 금빛을 띠고, 코에는 오발틴과 치커리 커피, 흑맥주 같은 몰티한 향에 구운 견과와 쓴 아몬드가 얽힌다. 46.3도의 입안은 잘 익은 배와 초록 견과, 쌉쌀한 다크 초콜릿이 이어지며 점차 마르고 탄닌이 배어난다. 여운은 길고 살짝 쓰며 나무와 박하의 뉘앙스가 오래 남는다.

It's a curiously malty sherry with notes of Ovaltine, chicory coffee, dark beer, followed by the expected roasted nuts, but also a thin slice of tarte tatin, and finally hints of bitter almonds, toffee, and slightly burnt caramel. Even a few whiffs of burnt tyre. All of this is not bad at all, this dark beer side without the intervention of dark beer is amusing. There is also more ripe pear after a few minutes
