잔을 빛 쪽으로 들어 올리면 오래된 금빛 속에 붉은 기가 은은하게 비친다. 코를 가져가면 버터스카치와 옥수수가 먼저 오고 잔을 더 돌리면 육두구가 드러난다. 한 모금 머금으면 50도의 힘이 혀 양옆을 조였다가 흑설탕과 메이플로 누그러진다. 넘긴 뒤에는 마른 오크와 후추가 남아 끝을 단단하게 마무리하고 구운 곡물의 잔향이 뒤따른다.
