잔을 코끝에 바짝 가져가면 메이플 시럽과 볶은 견과가 가장 먼저 마중 나온다. 흔들수록 그 아래에 가죽과 탄 오크의 기운이 또렷이 깃들어 있다. 한 모금 머금으면 진한 단맛이 혀를 덮고 계피가 뒤에서 천천히 올라온다. 넘긴 자리에는 검은 후추와 코코아가 서서히 잦아든다. 단일 배럴에서 나온 술다운 뚜렷한 윤곽이 끝까지 유지된다.
