Tasting Notes
한 갑자에 가까운 세월이 비친 짙은 호박빛이 잔 속에 깊게 잠겨 있다. 코에는 오크니 증류소 하이랜드 파크다운 헤더 꿀과 옅은 훈연, 잘 익은 무화과 향이 우아하게 얽힌다. 한 모금에는 43도의 부드러운 도수 위로 꿀과 마른 과일, 은은한 피트의 단맛이 둥글게 퍼진다. 1956년 빈티지의 깊은 세월답게 결은 매끈하고, 여운에는 헤더 꿀과 마른 피트가 길게 남는다.

so typically HP! There’s that heather honey that wasn’t quite to be found in the 15 and Valkyrie, more roundness, more dried fruits (figs, dates, pears, raisins) and earth rather than smoke. Orange blossom, dandelions, honeysuckle, and some nice whiffs of humus and garden peat. In short his baby’s more refined, and perhaps more civilised. Not quite Viking stuff this time, if you like
restaurant Palate
indeed, a different world. Superb dried fruits mingled with some herbal syrup (Chartreuse, genepy, eucalyptus) and the expected honey, with a feeling of charred wood in the background. Rather a gentleman’s HP, if you will

medium, a tad rougher and grassier, but still quite wonderful. Ah our good old HP 18!…
