Tasting Notes
Colour
pale white wine
air Nose
a tad silent, sharp, very mineral, ashy and slightly lemony. Also a lot of antiseptic and mercurochrome. Unexpected hints of roses. With water: more soot, metal polish, ashes and garden bonfire. Sharply smoky indeed. Also wet dogs (sorry, dogs)
restaurant Palate
excellent, ultra-classic, extremely satisfying and uncomplicated Laphroaig. Soot, ashes, brine, kippers, cider apples and bitter almonds. With water: a little sweeter. Candied ginger, lemon marmalade and sweet spices. Excellent
timer Finish
long, balanced, candied and peaty. A little pine sap and cough syrup and a very ashy aftertaste
