잔에 따르고 잠시 두었다가 코를 가져가면 태운 설탕과 옥수수빵이 먼저 마중 나온다. 잔을 흔들수록 시가 박스와 밀랍 같은 향이 그 아래에서 깨어난다. 한 모금을 입 안에서 굴리면 계피와 육두구가 혀를 타고 퍼지고 단맛은 끝까지 버틴다. 넘긴 뒤에는 마른 오크와 검은 후추가 천천히 잦아든다. 1897년 보틀드 인 본드 법을 그대로 따른 100프루프의 무게감이 그대로 전해진다.
