아일라 남부 해안의 거센 파도와 짙은 피트가 라프로익에 약품 같은 강렬한 개성을 새긴다. 버번 배럴에서 25년을 보낸 이 위스키는 잔에 밝은 황금빛을 담는다. 요오드와 마른 장작 연기, 레몬의 향이 강하게 솟아오르고, 54.3도의 힘을 타고 입에서는 그을린 훈연과 바닐라, 짭조름한 미네랄이 매끄럽게 번진다. 오래 익은 라프로익다운 약재 같은 피트가 긴 여운으로 남는다.
