버번 호그스헤드에서 익다가 포트 샬럿 캐스크로 마무리한 흔적이 이 라프로익의 향을 한층 복잡하게 만든다. 라프로익 특유의 요오드와 소독약 같은 피트 위로 옅은 와인 단맛이 겹친다. 입에서는 훈제 향과 바닷소금, 가벼운 베리가 두꺼운 질감으로 흐르고, 59.9도의 힘이 강렬한 피트를 끝까지 밀어붙인다. 아일라 남부다운 거친 개성이 또렷하다. 황금빛 끝에는 재와 소금기의 긴 여운이 진하게 남는다.

much more closed than the 46, almost mute for a while. Having said that, there's more vanilla. More farmy notes as well after a while. With water: very similar to the above 46%. Maybe a tad more medicinal?
