잔을 크게 한 번 돌린 뒤 코를 가져가면 배럴에서 온 탄 설탕 향이 가장 먼저 인사한다. 뒤이어 바닐라와 볶은 아몬드가 겹치고 얇게 민트가 스친다. 잔을 흔들어 두 번째로 맡으면 말린 자두와 가죽이 뒤에서 올라온다. 한 모금 머금어 혀 위에 오래 두면 50도의 열기 사이로 캐러멜과 계피가 나타난다. 마무리에서는 마른 오크와 담뱃잎이 함께 사그라든다.
