엑스 셰리 오크 캐스크 안에서 22년을 보낸 시간이 1976년 라프로익 원액의 캐릭터를 결정한다. 노즈에는 강한 피트 연기와 짭조름한 요오드, 마른 자두 향이 묵직하게 드러난다. 입에서는 그을린 베이컨과 다크 초콜릿, 흑후추가 두꺼운 질감으로 흐르고 50.4도의 알코올이 단단한 골격을 받친다. 잔에 잠긴 짙은 호박빛 위로 아일라 남부 라프로익 특유의 매연 어린 셰리 단맛이 길게 이어진다.

massive, extremely powerful (tastes like much more than 50%), and quite brutal. Grassy peelings, grapefruits, green lemons, an almondy grassiness, some fresh bitter walnuts, a spoonful of manzanilla, some mustard… Seizes your tongue. With water: do they have an Anti-Maltoporn Brigade on this island?
