노즈에서는 라프로익 특유의 강한 약품 같은 피트 연기와 요오드, 짠내가 가장 먼저 두드러진다. 잭 타르가 1996년 빈티지를 26년 숙성한 이 위스키는 48.7도에서 향이 깊고 또렷하게 발전한다. 팰럿은 그을린 장작과 소독약, 바다 소금이 주도하며 오래된 오크의 단맛이 균형을 잡는다. 피니시는 재와 타르, 짭짤한 미네랄이 길게 이어지고, 장기 숙성 라프로익다운 묵직한 구조감이 단단한 26년 몰트다.
