아일라 남부 해안의 라프로익은 요오드와 타르 같은 강렬한 약품 향으로 애호가를 사로잡는다. 1998년 증류해 리필 호그스헤드에서 스물다섯 해를 보낸 헌터 랭의 올드 앤 레어는 깊은 황금빛을 띠며, 마른 피트와 요오드, 레몬 향이 우아하게 무르익었다. 52.5도의 입안은 그을린 연기와 짭짤한 미네랄, 시트러스가 또렷이 깃든다. 여운에는 식어가는 약초와 바닷소금이 길게 이어지며 깊게 머문다.

much less wood influence in this one, obviously, and it’s even a tad newmaky, porridgy. Having said that, very young Laphroaigs can be most enjoyable if you like this very ashy, mineral and coastal profile and are not afraid of pears. Very straight, narrow, sharpy profile. With water: smoked porridge. Heavily so

sweet and nervous, with a lot of lemon, ashes, smoke and salt as well as notes of pears yet again. Very uncomplicated. With water: the rooty notes come out. Gentian, lemon and salt

medium long for a young Laphroaig. Pears again
