Tasting Notes
노즈에서는 아일라 특유의 강한 피트 연기와 요오드, 정로환을 연상시키는 약품 향이 가장 먼저 두드러진다. 팰럿에서는 리필 호그스헤드에서 22년을 보낸 라프로익답게 짭조름한 브린과 그을린 재, 옅은 단맛이 뚜렷이 이어지며 구조감이 강건하다. 56.4도의 높은 도수가 연기를 한층 짙게 끌어올린다. 피니시는 매캐한 훈연과 바다 소금기가 길게 남아, 올드 앤 레어 셀렉션의 묵직한 개성이 선명하게 드러난다.

a sweeter sherry this time, and a mild smoke – and a discreet Laphroaigness. A little leather plus plenty of figs, raisins, dates, then moss and damp earth, pine needles… A walk in the forest after the rain with a large pack of sultanas in your hands, I’d say. And a gun, as there is some gunpowder. Much more herbal liqueur after ten minutes, smoky chartreuse? With water: it’s the dry smoke, as well as roasted chestnuts and toasted bread that come out. Got drier this time
