깊은 황금빛이 잔 안에서 묵직하게 감돈다. 1970년에 증류된 옛 라프로익답게 향에서는 짙은 훈연과 요오드, 짭조름한 바닷내가 거세게 솟아오른다. 한 모금에는 40도의 둥근 도수를 타고 매캐한 피트와 보리 단맛, 소독약 같은 약내가 입천장을 천천히 덮는다. 16년 숙성의 옛 원액다운 기름진 질감 위로 짭조름한 피트의 여운이 오래도록 남는다.
