잔을 흔들면 옅은 짚빛이 잔 벽을 따라 미끄러진다. 코끝으로 가져가면 라프로익다운 강한 피트 연기와 요오드, 바다 소금, 레몬이 거세게 밀려온다. 한 모금을 머금으면 56.8도의 기운이 혀를 감싸며 그을린 보리와 약품 내음, 후추가 번진다. 12년을 호그스헤드에서 익힌 이 아일라 몰트는 라프로익 특유의 거칠고 강렬한 훈연을 그대로 보여준다. 삼키면 재와 소금기가 오래도록 남는다.
