of course, this is a whole different planet. For example, you’ve got all these medicinal touches, bandages, balms, iodine and such… And then, the tropical fruits, passion fruits, mangos, pink bananas, papayas… I have no idea why no contemporary whiskies have got those, perhaps is it a matter of yeast? Would make sense, wouldn’t it? In any case, this is typical 1960s Laphroaig, and with flying colours. Some would say it’s a pretty Bowmore-y Laphroaig, but we’re talking 1960s, remember…

when medicine and tropical fruitiness combine so well, you’re almost in heaven. And this baby’s still punching and kicking, with no OBE that I can get, it’s as if it was bottled yesterday.
