Tasting Notes
엑스버번 배럴에서 10년을 보낸 시간이 이 위스키의 뼈대를 이루지만 주인공은 강렬한 피트다. 코에는 레몬과 소독약, 피트 연기가 밀려오고 옅은 바나나 껍질과 재의 뉘앙스가 뒤따른다. 입안에서는 거친 피트와 소금, 자몽, 타르 같은 재가 58.5도의 힘으로 폭발한다. 라프로익 캐스크 스트렝스 배치 16은 아일라 특유의 약품 같은 훈연을 극대화한다. 밝은 황금빛 아래 여운은 재와 소금기가 길게 남는다.

no tropical fruits that I can detect, only banana skins. But the lemons and the peat in the bottom start rising and bring litres of antiseptic with them. Tell me about a medicinal whisky! With water: some oils (sunflower) and some malted barley, with those huge ashes coming out again
restaurant Palate
well, this is excellent. No subtleties but that's not why we came here. Big grassier peat, salt, grapefruits, mouthwash, pepper, and of course tarry ashes. I'm starting to believe they have a kiln not for malting barley, but for producing ashes! With water: ashes up up up, plus a little brine. We've lost the fruits

long, ashy, and salty. Only in the aftertaste do we find a wee bit of 'avion' mango
