차링한 오크 배럴에서 10년을 보낸 이 라프로익 캐스크 스트렝스 배치 9는 캐스크의 풍미와 짙은 피트가 팽팽하게 맞선다. 배럴의 흔적 위로 노란 파프리카와 설탕에 절인 오렌지, 타르와 갓 칠한 페인트의 향이 겹친다. 58.1도의 힘이 혀를 강하게 조이며 레몬즙과 재, 바닷물과 칠리의 알싸함을 밀어 올린다. 아일라다운 짙은 스모크와 짭짤한 시트러스의 여운이 아주 길게 이어지며 끝난다.

richer than the 18, oilier, but with lovely notes of yellow pepper atop the peat and candied oranges. With water: I really like this. Chalk, plaster, shoe polish, peppers, tar, fresh paint, putty, carbolineum, and a touch of barley sugar... So far, nothing to complain about
restaurant Palate
extremely zesty. Lemon juice, ashes, green pepper, sea water, chillies, and truffled olive oil. As they say, it packs quite a punch. With water: it swims beautifully, though it does become, once again, a bit liqueur-like, a touch sweeter. We’ll mention limoncello once more. Other than that, it’s pretty much spot on
